It has been a tradition for the past 40+ years to stop either on the way to our destination, or on the way back home. My parents had to sell their lakehouse on Travis for health reasons,so the trip hasn't been made in awhile. This past weekend I visited my daughter in College Station and I stopped and got the usual. The smell brought back alot of good memories. It was worth the wait. My mother is 87 now and I will be bringing her dozen of kolaches. She will be so happy. My dad is 90 and has had his 9th hip operation and I will be taking him some too in the nursing facility. Do you all still carry the bacon? I didn't see any in the bakery side. I agree with others YOU NEED TO SHIP.

On my way home to Dallas from Waco I stoped at this spot just for use of the bathroom I was wondering why the heck were there so many ppl there and when I walked in I dont know if it were the smell that caught my attention first or the line! I knew something good was going on so I hoped in line and started picking out random things and also got a few of the items I hear the guy in front of me get, got back to the car and poped open my box and after one bite I went back into the line to get more bc I knew what I got wouldnt last down the highway no time delicious stuff!!!!!!!

I love the cream cheese kolaches and the sausage kolbasnik! Your bakery is a "must stop" for all my siblings and myself. It wouldn’t be a family get together without your kolaches. Often, my husband has to drive to Dallas for business, and he always stops and gets kolaches to bring to the clients. Everyone absolutley loves them. Of course, he always has to stop on the way back and get some for me! I also love the Czech music that you play in the store.

My husband and I drove down to Austin this weekend for the women's state bowling tournament. I overheard some of my teammates talking about your store and asked about it. No one was even sure where it was located except for it being in West. Heading back we made plans to stop but after a couple of hours never saw West so we figured we had missed it. Then, as we were headed north out of Waco, we saw the West sign. Long story short, found your store, LOVED your food. We will be back!

Just returned home today from a trip to my nephew's graduation and we had to stop at West Czech Bakery, it was packed out and no wonder, the Kolaches are the best in the state of Texas, My Mom purchased 3 dozen and we purchased 3 dozen and bread. Clean restrooms and if you haven't stopped here it's a must. WE have been addicted to the Cheese and Ham Kolaches there. The best in the grand state of Texas.

I've been going to the Czech Stop on the way back towards Dallas from Austin or San Antonio for at least 15 years. Now, my daughter is doing research on the Czechs that settled in Texas and built towns and churches with the flair of the rich culture that is still alive today. We stopped at your store a few months ago & I purchased a couple of the CZECH REFLECTIONS cookbooks. This past Saturday I was working for a friend at her boutique & a couple from Angleton stopped by looking for a czech cookbook. I told them I know the perfect place to get one. So I went home & got out my Czech Reflections & she callled me today & I gave her the address so she could order one. She was very excited. I thought that was such a treat that I got this book & now everyone wants to know where I got it. So you might be getting phone calls for the Czech Reflections cookbook. Please keep me informed if there are any other types of "Czech" cookbooks or czech books available. Thank you so very much.

Until recently, I lived in Austin, Tx. My wife and I would travel to Fort Worth to visit her parents, and as a rule, when you go through West, you have to stop for Kolache's! Not only for our trip, but if we showed up at her parents house with no Kolache's for her dad, he would be SERIOUSLY dissapointed! These folks REALLY know how to bake! I'm a carnivore at heart, so I prefer the sausage and meat filled kolache's, but the other items they make are just as fantastic! I can't wait to get back to Texas, just so I can stop by West!

I love visiting Czech stop every time I pass through West, Texas. It's got some GREAT pastries and a cheery atmosphere! I recently used a bag from Czech stop to cover my textbooks and it brings me and my friends a smile to see it every day.

You're perfectly correct when you say Delicious is your
Business. I started stopping at your store/bakery while
living in Killeen. I made frequent trips back home to Oklahoma and your store soon became a part of my trip. I'd get some kolaches for myself and some to share. Now
I only get to stop when on a vacation. I plan on making
a stop there later this month--on one the way to the beach, and one on the way back. Look forward to your tasty treats.

I was raised on kolaches and klobas by my two wonderful Czech parents. No holiday was complete without baking kolaches all day long. My wonderful parents have passed on. I can make kolaches myself and do sometimes, but why when I can take a short drive to West and pick up some delicious kolaches in every imaginable flavor. They are heavenly and there is no mess to clean up!! I am having company this week and plan on picking up several dozen.
Thanks Czech Stop!

Wow Czech food is great! My Mom warned me how great Czech food was. Back in California, years ago, my parents had Czech friends who lived down the street from them. Saturday, March 22 I was on a road trip from visiting my sister in Austin on my way towards Crested Butte, Colorado for some snowboarding. I stopped in the Czech Stop because I know an incredibly beautiful blonde Czech woman, Katatrina, back in Long Beach California from where I live. She was born in the Czech Republic and is so very sweet. So of course I had to stop and check out the food. I love those kolaches! Yummm. My dream is for her to make me some Czech food soon.

It was a very pleasant experience to stop in recently and enjoy that "kolache cookin" aroma in your bakery. I was there with a significant other on Westfest weekend to visit my sister and her husband who live in West. He was so impressed with the atmosphere of the town, that he is ready to retire in West. Since I am originally from West (Class of 1967), of course, I was extremely proud of my heritage. Chocolate pound cake rules!!!!
When we plan a road trip, we make sure that part of our trip goes through West. I have never traveled from the Dallas area to Waco without stopping for apricot kolaches, a chubby or two, and most importantly: the chocolate pound cake!
I tried the chocolate croissants on our last trip and was sooo looking forward to buying more of them on our return to Dallas! Sadly, they did not have any.....oh well, guess I'll just have to make a special trip back to West!
My family and I love your bakery and all the friendly people who work there!
Keep up the good work!

Škoda, že si každý víkend nemůžeme zpříjemnit stejně jako ten minulý krátkou návštevou Czech Stop. Trošku překvapení během cesty do Austinu a San Antonia jsme narazili na kousek českého domova tady v Texasu. Samozřejmě kromě koláčů jsme nakoupili i české pivo! Co víc by si český človíček ještě mohl přát...
THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT SUPRISE DURING VISITING TEXAS - A SMALL PART OF CZECH REPUBLIC HERE IN TEXAS! AND THANK YOU FOR THE SIGNES IN CZECH LANGUAGE. QUITE INTERESTING AFTER SO LONG TIME HERE TO READ SOMETHING IN NATIVE LANGUAGE IN A NORMAL SHOP. SORRY, NOT SO NORMAL - YOUR GREAT SHOP! THANK YOU AND SEE YOU SOON - těším se zase někdy přístě.

We are so glad you are open 24 hours (now) so we can load up with Kolaches when we are driving by. We can't remember a time when we have driven through West in the last 25 years without stopping. We use to plan our trips around the stores hours so we wouldn't miss picking up a bag full of goodies. Now we can get them anytime. THANK YOU! WISH YOU WERE IN FARMERS BRANCH!!!

I love the Czech Stop. I grew up in Dallas, then moved to Austin to go to college (and still live in Austin). I've probably made the journey back and forth more than 100 times since. A boring drive, but I stop at the Czech Stop every time. I've never been displeased with anything I've gotten there. The biggest problem - I sometimes buy a dozen or so assorted kolaches with the intention of taking them home. I usually end up eating them all in the car. Oink...

During the summer I always go on a road trip to the east coast and I go out of my way to stop in West to visit my friend Lauren, then I make a stop at Czech Stop. And I have to say not only are the kolaches hot but so are the female workers....*wink wink* Jennifer and Tiffany ;) They are awesome and such good help!

having grown up in the Waco area, I've driven up to West just for your kolaches before. After introducing my wife to them on previous trip home, she makes me stop every time we pass through to pick up a couple dozen chubbies for the road. Who could ask for any better reason to stop? Too bad you don't ship to Virginia....

I have stopped at the Czech Stop more times than I can count on my frequent trips to Dallas. I always pick up sweet rolls to take to my sister's house. And usually I can't resist picking up some other goodies, too. It's good to know that your nice clean facilities and dependable service will be there. I have just one request...please bring back the blueberry and raspberry sweet rolls. My nieces and I miss them!! Well, thanks for everything, and thanks from my daughter, too, for the many happy memories of stopping at the Czech Stop!

Your food is absolutely wonderful! Our group from Milledgeville, Georgia stopped there for lunch last Friday 11/16 on our way from Dallas to Austin. The food was so great that we made plans to stop again on our way back to Dallas. We loaded up on strudel, kolach, etc. for the return flight to Atlanta, and I bought enough goodies to sustain us over Thanksgiving.
